Job summary

Abacus Human Capital Pty Ltd in North Brisbane is seeking a Business Services Manager to oversee a client portfolio, review tax returns and financial statements, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with partners. The role focuses on advisory work and leadership within a growing mid-sized firm.

There is a clear 18-month pathway to equity directorship, with a 2 days WFH option and a modern office setup.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' experience in Australian public practice.
• Leadership or supervisory experience within accounting.
• CPA/CA/IPA qualified or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Xero and Microsoft Office.
• Current and ongoing right to work in Australia.
• Excellent communication skills and client advisory interest.

Responsibilities

• Review tax returns and financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
• Manage and respond to client queries while building strong advisory relationships.
• Serve as an expert regarding Div 7A, CGT, and FBT strategy.
• Collaborate with managers and partners across multiple engagements.
• Lead and mentor junior through senior on/offshore team members.
