Everi Pty in Brisbane seeks an experienced leader to take ownership of an established client portfolio and drive the people, workflow and technical delivery behind it. You will work with Partners to deliver advisory projects, review complex accounting, and oversee tax planning while coaching a team of accountants.

The role combines client ownership with commercial responsibility, budgeting and development conversations, with a clear career framework toward Associate Director and broader

Qualificações

Australian public practice experience of six+ years.
Manager-level capability or strong Assistant Manager readiness.
CA, CPA or equivalent qualification.
Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation and accounting standards.
Experience managing private business client relationships and reviewing work.
Ability to lead client conversations and identify advisory opportunities.
Experience coaching accountants and managing workflow, deadlines and budgets.
Proficiency with Excel and accounting software such as Xero or MYOB.

Job Description

Take responsibility for an established client portfolio while leading the people, workflow and technical delivery behind it.

Working closely with a Partner, you'll oversee compliance, deliver advisory work and help clients make practical business decisions. The portfolio has a strong agribusiness base alongside privately owned businesses, individuals, family groups and other structures.

This is a permanent addition to the team's headcount, combining client ownership with coaching, delegation and commercial responsibility. A documented career framework provides visibility of expectations for progression towards Associate Director and broader leadership roles.

The Role

Responsibilities include:

Managing a client portfolio and acting as the main point of contact

Reviewing financial statements, tax returns and simple and complex accounting work

Providing strategic advice in consultation with Partners and taking ownership of advisory projects

Overseeing tax planning, interim work, FBT matters and ATO communications

Delegating work and coordinating priorities, deadlines and delivery standards

Coaching accountants through on-the-job training, regular feedback and performance reviews

Monitoring job budgets, productivity and fee recovery, discussing variances with Partners

Preparing fees and ensuring client documentation meets professional standards

Identifying opportunities for additional services and referrals across the firm

Supporting business development, process improvements and transformation initiatives

About the Employer

Our client is a large Queensland accounting and advisory firm with 14 Partners and almost 200 staff across three offices.

Business Services sits within a full-service practice spanning taxation, audit, international advisory, insolvency, SMSF, technology, finance, lending and wealth management. This gives clients access to specialist colleagues when they need broader support.

Brisbane staff work from a modern Eagle Street office with end-of-trip facilities. Systems include Xero, Business Fitness and APS, with a transition to KloudConnect underway.

About the Candidate

At least six years of Australian public practice experience in business services

Manager-level capability, or strong Assistant Manager experience with readiness to step up

CA, CPA or equivalent qualification

Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation and accounting standards

Experience managing private business client relationships and reviewing accounting and tax work

Confidence leading client conversations and identifying advisory opportunities

Experience coaching accountants and managing workflow, deadlines and budgets

Clear communication, sound commercial judgement and a dependable leadership style

Proficiency with Excel and accounting software such as Xero or MYOB

Agribusiness exposure will be highly regarded but is not essential. Strong client communication and the ability to lead delivery are central to the role.
