Job summary

Sims Richmond, a Chartered Accounting and Advisory firm in the Adelaide CBD, is seeking an experienced Business Services Manager who will deliver high quality accounting, taxation and advisory services while mentoring junior team members.

You will work with clients across industries, lead financial statements, tax returns, BAS/IAS lodgements, and develop growth strategies in a supportive, collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a public practice accounting firm.
• Strong knowledge of CGT, GST and Corporations Law.
• Experience with a variety of accounting software packages.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, personable and client-facing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and income tax returns.
• Prepare and lodge BAS and IAS.
• Provide taxation advice and business growth strategies.
• Financial modelling, forecasting and budgets.
• Supervise, mentor and develop junior accountants.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• General accounting and taxation support.

About the Role

Working closely with clients across a broad range of industries, you will play a key role in delivering high quality accounting, taxation, and advisory services while mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns
• Preparation and lodgement of BAS and IAS
• Providing taxation advice and business growth strategies
• Financial modelling, forecasting, and budget preparation
• Supervising, mentoring, and developing junior accountants
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• General accounting and taxation support as required

About You

To be successful in this role we require a proactive and personable accounting professional who enjoys both technical work and client interaction. Previous experience in a public practice accounting firm is essential.
