Job summary

GWG Recruitment is seeking an experienced Business Manager for a well-established education organisation in Grafton, NSW. You will oversee finance, operations, administration, assets, risk, compliance and support functions, acting as a key business partner to senior leadership.

The role has a strong financial focus with budgeting, reporting, variance analysis and financial planning, plus responsibility for procurement, capital works, governance and WHS.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business or similar.
• Strong financial and commercial capability with experience managing budgets and operations.
• Leadership experience and the ability to manage and develop support staff.
• CPA/CA accreditation is highly regarded, especially with education-sector experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the organisation’s finance, business operations, administration, assets, risk, compliance and support functions.
• Lead and develop non-teaching support staff.

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Business Manager to join a well-established education organisation in Grafton, NSW.

This is a broad and influential position overseeing the organisation’s finance, business operations, administration, assets, risk, compliance and support functions. You’ll also lead and develop non-teaching support staff and act as a key business partner to senior leadership.

The role will have a strong financial focus, including annual budgeting, financial reporting, variance analysis, expenditure oversight and financial planning, alongside responsibility for broader operational areas including procurement, capital works, projects, governance and WHS.

We’re looking for someone who brings

• A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business or similar
• Strong financial and commercial capability, with experience managing budgets and business operations
• Leadership experience and the ability to effectively manage and develop support staff
• Strong analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills
• The confidence to work closely with senior leadership and manage competing priorities
• CPA/CA accreditation is highly regarded, as is previous education-sector experience
