Job summary

RLX is seeking a driven Business Manager to lead the South Eastern Livestock Exchange site in Yass, NSW. You will steer day-to-day operations, manage staff and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while driving business growth and stakeholder engagement.

You will collaborate with clients, community and industry partners to protect high standards and explore new opportunities in a dynamic agricultural environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in management roles.
• Experience in facility management or agricultural industry is advantageous.
• Tertiary qualifications or a diploma in Business or Agriculture (or equivalent).
• Strong leadership and staff development skills.
• Current Driver's License and Senior First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

About the Role:

Exciting leadership opportunity for a dynamic individual as the Business Manager for the site. This role involves steering the success of a cutting-edge Regional Livestock Exchanges (RLX) facility, leading a team, leading safety and environment compliance on site, ensuring seamless business operations, facility upkeep, financial and business management, and compliance with industry standards. As the key liaison with stakeholders, including clients, community, and industry representatives, the role also presents the chance to explore and cultivate new business prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the business operations at the site encompassing:

• Facility Management
• People Management
• Environment and OHS Management

Build and nurture relationships with clients, community and industry representatives

Explore and develop new business opportunities

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience in leading teams and growing a business
• Minimum of five years in management roles
• Experience in facility management or working in the agricultural industry is highly advantageous
• Tertiary qualifications or a diploma in Business or Agriculture (or equivalent experience)
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Proven ability to recruit, train, and develop staff
• Commercial acumen and entrepreneurial drive
• Humane Destruction of Animals (or willingness to get one)
• Current Driver's License, Senior First Aid Certificate, and Firearm License (or willingness to get one)
