Job summary

MSS Security is seeking a Business Manager to lead the delivery of security services in a Perth-based, full-time capacity, overseeing a portfolio of clients with a focus on service quality and revenue growth.

Reporting to the State Operations Manager, you will drive operational effectiveness, manage and develop high-performing teams, and ensure compliance, pricing and contract obligations across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Experience managing multiple sites and large teams, preferably within security operations.
• Strong client and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen including pricing, quotes or tenders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop teams across multiple locations with coaching and mentoring.
• Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Manage day-to-day security operations, audits, incidents, investigations, compliance and risk.
• Ensure services meet contractual requirements, rosters and pricing.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency and service delivery.
• Support quotes, tenders, contract reviews, pricing and costing activities.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Finance and FP&A on forecasting and reporting.
• Provide reporting and insights to clients and senior management.

About the role

MSS Security is looking for a Business Manager for a permanent full‑time opportunity to manage the delivery of security services to customers within a portfolio of clients and provide customer service of the highest quality, which satisfies all existing and future customer needs.

Reporting into the State Operations Manager, this role requires someone with the ability to contribute to growing revenue and managing operational effectiveness whilst providing leadership in managing and building high performing teams.

You’ll be responsible for

• Leading and developing teams across multiple locations, including performance, attendance, recruitment support, coaching and mentoring.
• Building strong, collaborative relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
• Managing day‑to‑day security operations, audits, incidents, investigations, compliance and risk.
• Ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with contractual requirements, rosters and agreed pricing.
• Identifying opportunities to improve customer profitability, operational efficiency and service delivery.
• Supporting quotes, tenders, contract reviews, pricing and costing activities.
• Working with Commercial, Finance and FP&A teams on forecasting, budgeting, month‑end reporting and Profit Improvement Plans.
• Using systems including Pronto, WorkForce and TM1 to support accurate reporting and commercial decision‑making.
• Ensuring teams are appropriately trained, licensed and compliant with HSE, HR and operational requirements.
• Providing meaningful reporting and insights to clients and senior management.
• Supporting business improvement projects and strategic initiatives across the organisation.

About You

You’ll be a confident and commercially minded leader with:

• Experience managing multiple sites and large teams, preferably within security operations.
• Strong client and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent people leadership and problem‑solving capability.
• Experience with rostering, contracts, HR/IR matters and operational compliance.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including costing, pricing, quotes or tenders.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• The ability to analyse information and turn it into practical business solutions.
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement and identifying better ways of working.
