Job summary

Telstra is seeking a Business Specialist to provide data, analysis and insights for critical decision-making across field services and geospatial platforms. You will work on technology change delivery, requirements gathering, testing, and implementation to support Telstra's strategic objectives.

The role emphasises backlog management, release coordination and stakeholder collaboration with a focus on continuous improvement and operational readiness across mobility and field operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Information Systems, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Gathering and analysing business requirements and translating them into system changes.
• Pre-release testing and QA, ensuring delivery aligns with business needs.
• Managing releases and communicating changes for code, configuration, and data.
• Coordinating application licences and user access.

Responsibilities

• Agile product ownership: backlog input, coordinating feature teams, pilots and phased rollout.
• Software development lifecycle and release management.
• ITIL-aligned change, planned outage and incident communication.
• Business readiness and organisational change management.
• Continuous improvement intake and governance, including assessment through operational decision forums.
