Job summary

Leidos Australia is seeking an experienced Business Analyst for a 12-month contract to join a GEO SPACES program. The role involves gathering and analysing business requirements, facilitating workshops, and translating needs into practical solutions that deliver measurable value.

You will work across diverse stakeholders to map processes, document user stories and acceptance criteria, and support testing, change activities, and implementation outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in business analysis within project, transformation, technology, or operational environments.
• Demonstrated ability to gather, analyse, and document business requirements, processes, user stories, and functional specifications.
• Experience facilitating workshops and engaging with stakeholders across multiple business functions.
• Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to solution design and business change initiatives.
• Experience supporting testing activities, including requirements traceability, user acceptance testing, and defect management.
• Well-developed communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document business requirements, ensuring solutions align with strategic objectives and user needs.
• Facilitate workshops, process mapping activities, and stakeholder engagement sessions to identify opportunities for improvement, manage requirements, and support informed decision-making.
• Develop and maintain business process documentation, user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria to support successful project delivery.
• Work closely with project managers, technical teams, and business representatives throughout the project lifecycle, supporting solution design, testing, change activities, and implementation outcomes.
