Job summary

Salexo Consulting is assisting a Sydney-based client to recruit a Business Development Manager to grow sales across plumbing, civil and water infrastructure markets. You’ll be meeting customers, opening new accounts and developing relationships with contractors, engineers and infrastructure buyers.

The role covers PVC and polyethylene pressure pipes, sewer and stormwater systems, drainage products and fittings.

Qualifications

• External sales experience in piping, plumbing, drainage, water infrastructure, civil products or a closely related market.
• Track record of winning new business, developing accounts and growing territory sales.
• Understanding of how contractors, trade suppliers and project customers buy.

Responsibilities

• Win new business while increasing sales across existing accounts.
• Build relationships with contractors, trade suppliers and project decision-makers.
• Identify upcoming projects and get involved early in product selection and supply discussions.
• Manage quotations, pricing negotiations and follow-up through to securing orders.
• Work with technical and operational teams to support customer requirements.
