We live and breathe our company values every day by being considerate, passionate, courageous, and making a difference.

Job Description

Are you a commercially minded sales professional who loves building relationships, winning new business and turning opportunities into results?

At Junior Adventures Group (JAG), we partner with schools and communities to deliver high-quality Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) programs that make a difference in children’s lives.

We’re looking for a driven Business Development Manager to grow our NSW/ACT portfolio by securing new school partnerships and identifying opportunities to expand our services. If you’re confident in engaging decision-makers, developing winning proposals and balancing commercial outcomes with customer needs, this could be the opportunity for you!

About the role

Based from our Homebush office, this role offers the opportunity to work with schools and key stakeholders across NSW and ACT, with travel required throughout the state and flexibility to work from home.

Working closely with our New Business, Finance, Marketing and Service Delivery teams, you’ll identify opportunities, develop tailored proposals and bring new partnerships to life.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Driving new business growth by identifying, researching and securing new OSHC opportunities across NSW.
  • Building strong relationships with school principals, business managers, school boards, councils and P&C committees.
  • Developing sales strategies and actionable 90-day plans to build your pipeline and achieve sales targets.
  • Preparing winning tenders and proposals, tailored to the needs of individual schools and their communities.
  • Presenting to key decision-makers and confidently negotiating commercial agreements.
  • Assessing commercial viability by developing financial models and ensuring proposed services meet profitability expectations.
  • Representing JAG externally at industry events, conferences and networking opportunities to generate new leads.
  • Managing your sales pipeline through CRM systems, maintaining accurate data and reporting on performance and market trends.
  • Partnering with Service Delivery to ensure a smooth handover of new services and that commitments made during the sales process can be delivered operationally.

About you

You’re a motivated self-starter who thrives on finding opportunities, building relationships and converting prospects into successful partnerships. You’re commercially astute, solutions-focused and comfortable managing your own territory.

To be successful, you’ll bring:

  • Experience in business development or sales, with a demonstrated track record of winning new business.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience with negotiation and developing commercially sound proposals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present confidently to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience researching opportunities, preparing tenders and developing tailored sales proposals.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with financial modelling or commercial forecasting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
  • The ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
  • A willingness to travel throughout NSW and ACT, including occasional overnight stays when required.

Experience working within a school community or the education sector will be highly regarded. A qualification in Business, Marketing or Sales is desirable.

At JAG, you’ll be part of a team that is passionate about creating brighter futures for children and communities.

Here’s what you can expect when you join us:

  • Flexible working – Work from our Homebush office, with the flexibility to work from home.
  • Career development – Grow your skills and explore future career opportunities within JAG.
  • Supportive team culture – Collaborate with passionate teams across business development, marketing, finance and operations.
