Job summary

gforce is a not-for-profit provider delivering Inclusive Employment Australia in Geelong and Ballarat, focused on helping young people 25 years and under.

We seek a Business Development Consultant to drive new opportunities in the Ballarat region, build strong employer partnerships, and reverse market candidates into roles with our disability employment services footprint.

Qualifications

• Experience in employment services/Disability Employment Services (DES) sector.
• Ability to source new business opportunities and build lasting relationships with employers.
• Ability to reverse market and cold canvas candidates to potential employers.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage employers to create sustainable employment pathways for participants.
• Liaise with community partners and employers to uncover opportunities and maintain relationships.
• Attend local networking events and represent gforce in the Ballarat region.
• Collaborate with Vocational Counsellors and Employment Consultants to match participants with opportunities.

Designed to create a more inclusive future for people with a disability, injury and/or a health condition, Inclusive Employment Australia places each person’s unique goals and needs at the heart of the program. Participants will receive personalised support to prepare for, secure and maintain sustainable employment.

gforce is seeking a Business Development Consultant with experience in the employment services/Disability Employment Services (DES) sector to work with us and help deliver the Inclusive Employment Australia program within the Eureka (Ballarat) region.

With our dedicated Inclusive Employment Australia team of Vocational Counsellors and Employment Consultants, you will work with our participants to uncover their interests, passions and skills, helping them build their confidence to become job ready and secure employment.

You will have a good understanding of the local labour market, work with employers and reverse market candidates into ongoing employment. You will liaise with the community and employers to identify new and ongoing employment opportunities.You will attend local networking opportunities and proactively build strong relationships with key stakeholders.

You’ll have experience in sourcing new business opportunities and proactively building strong, lasting relationships with key stakeholders and local employers. You will know how to reverse market and cold canvas candidates to potential employers to source employment opportunities.
