Job description

Work arrangement: Full-time, office-based, five days per week.

About EatFirst

EatFirst is the leading food tech platform for workplaces across APAC. We’re the food partner of choice for leading organisations, helping fuel thousands of teams every week.

For workplaces, we provide high-quality, tailored food solutions, from recurring employee meal programs to one-off corporate catering, all supported by enterprise-grade technology and service. For catering vendors, we help growtheir businesses by connecting them with our network of high-value corporate customers.

Our proprietary app, Cloud Canteen, is Australia’s fastest growing corporate catering service, achieving incredible year on year growth and we're now expanding our team to continue this growth.

About the role

We’re looking for a driven, commercially minded Business Development Executive to grow our Cloud Canteen vendor network & corporate customer base across the country.

This is more than a traditional BDR/SDR role. It combines two distinct responsibilities: full-cycle vendor sales and corporate customer meeting generation.

On the vendor side, you’ll own the end-to-end sales cycle: identifying, approaching, pitching, negotiating, closing and onboarding new vendors. You’ll help build a vendor network that gives employees access to the food they actually want to eat (think Cali Press, Guzman y Gomez, Chargrill Charlie's, Zeus Street Greek and more).

On the customer side, you’ll identify target corporate accounts, engage decision-makers and generate qualified meetings for our Business Development Managers (BDMs) to progress into new business opportunities.

Reporting to the National Business Development Lead & working closely with the Head of Meals and wider team, you’ll use your sales skills, established playbooks, data, automations and AI to scale Cloud Canteen.

What you’ll do
  • Build Australia's workplace food network: Manage the vendor sales cycle from prospecting to closing, to expand Cloud Canteen's vendor offering. Identify cuisine gaps, emerging food trends and popular brands that will make Cloud Canteen even more compelling for workplaces.
  • Generate corporate customer opportunities: Identify target accounts, engage decision-makers & book qualified meetings for our BDM team across outbound, inbound and our product-led growth (PLG) user base.
  • Collaborate to win: Work with Sales, Marketing and Operations to improve conversion, vendor quality and the customer experience.
  • Use technology to your advantage: Leverage CRM tools, data, automation and AI to improve productivity, prioritise opportunities and scale your sales efforts.
  • Stay commercially sharp: Monitor competitors, market trends and customer preferences to identify new opportunities for growth.
What we’re looking for
  • At least one year of experience in high-volume outbound sales, with the confidence and resilience to pick up the phone and start conversations every day.
  • Curiosity, coachability and an appetite to learn and improve.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage both restaurant owners and corporate decision-makers.
  • Commercial acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • The organisation and discipline to manage multiple pipelines, prioritise activity and follow through on commitments.
  • An interest and/or experience in using AI, automation and technology to improve productivity and sales outcomes.
Compensation

$65,000 base salary + $17,500 OTE (uncapped commission!)

Company benefits
  • MeFirst Day: One dedicated wellness day per year to reset and recharge.
  • Gym support: $50 per month towards your gym membership.
  • Birthday leave: An extra paid day off to celebrate your birthday.
  • Professional development: Access to approved sales development and training.
  • Free weekly lunches: Enjoy workplace food and plenty of samples throughout the week.
  • Team connection: Company-wide QBRs and offsites, plus twice-monthly Sydney team events.
  • Paid parental leave: Access to EatFirst’s paid parental leave policy.
  • Office perks: A fully stocked pantry and coffee machine.
