Job summary

Tec-NQ is a Townsville–based Independent Senior Secondary School and Registered Training Organisation (RTO) seeking a Business and Information Technology Trainer. The role involves delivering Certificates in Information Technology and Workplace Skills Training packages across our school-based and RTO programs in the Townsville/North Queensland region.

The successful candidate will have vocational qualifications in Business and IT, plus a Teaching and Assessment Certificate IV, strong

Qualifications

• Possession of vocational qualifications in Business and Information Technology.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116 or TAE40110) required.
• Well developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use information technology to enrich learning opportunities for students.
• Current C-Class Australian Drivers Licence; and Queensland Blue Card or eligibility to attain.
• Demonstrated experience in development, delivery and assessment of IT and Workplace Skills Training.

Responsibilities

Job description

Business and Information Technology Trainer

Tec-NQ is seeking a highly motivated and innovative Trainer who is committed and passionate about making a difference in the education of secondary school students and school-based apprentices. This position will support the delivery of programs across the scope of our operations as an RTO and School by delivering Certificates in Information Technology and Workplace Skills Training packages. Previous training experience is preferred.

Selection Criteria

Possession of vocational qualifications in Business and Information Technology;

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116 or TAE40110);

Well developed verbal and written communication skills;

Ability to use information technology in various formats and combinations to enrich and extend the learning opportunities of the students;

Current C-Class Australian Drivers Licence; and

Queensland ‘Blue Card’ to work with children or eligibility to attain.

Demonstrated experience in the development, delivery and assessment of Certificate III in Information Technology and Certificate II in Workplace Skills Training with the ability to adopt a multi-disciplinary approach to teaching and learning.
