Job summary

Talenza is seeking an experienced Functional Business Analyst to support strategic initiatives across customer-facing products and platforms. You will bridge business and technology, shaping functional solutions to improve customer outcomes and streamline operations.

Based in Melbourne, you'll partner with cross-functional teams, run workshops, document requirements, and contribute to solution design, testing and deployment in an agile delivery environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst delivering change across business and technology.
• Telecommunications industry experience, consumer focus preferred.
• Strong understanding of consumer telco products and processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience facilitating workshops and mapping requirements.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to gather, validate and prioritise functional requirements.
• Translate needs into clear requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate discovery sessions to map pain points and future-state.

A leading consumer telecommunications business is looking for an experienced Functional Business Analyst to support strategic initiatives and business-critical projects across customer-facing products, processes and platforms. This is a great fit for a BA who can confidently bridge business and technology, and who understands how consumer telco operates end-to-end.

You'll join a high-performing delivery environment and work across business and tech teams to shape functional solutions that improve customer outcomes, streamline operations, and enable ongoing platform/process evolution.

What you will be doing

• Partnering with stakeholders to gather, validate and prioritise functional requirements
• Translating business needs into clear requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
• Facilitating workshops / discovery sessions to map pain points and define future-state
• Documenting as-is / to-be processes (strong process mindset required)
• Supporting solution design, business readiness, testing and implementation
• Managing stakeholder expectations and driving alignment across multiple teams
• Identifying continuous improvement opportunities in consumer product + service journeys

What you'll bring (must-haves)

• 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst delivering change across business + technology
• Telecommunications industry experience (consumer focus strongly preferred)
• Solid understanding of consumer telco products and operational processes (e.g., order-to-activate, service change, billing impacts, customer journeys, contact centre/service workflows)
• Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and documentation skills
• Experience working with Agile delivery teams and cross-functional squads
• Excellent written/verbal communication and the ability to operate in ambiguous environments
