We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support our Finance, Procurement and ERP transformation initiatives, with a key focus on Procure-to-Pay and Financial ERP.
The Business Analyst will lead the analysis, documentation, and optimisation of Finance, Procurement, and Accounts Payable processes to support the successful delivery of Procure to Pay and Financial ERP business transformation initiatives. The role will work closely with project team, Finance, Procurement, Account Payable teams, Southern Cross Care Support Office and operational teams across NSW and ACT. The role is responsible for requirements gathering and documentation, current and future business process mapping, Financial ERP solution delivery support, stakeholder engagement, and business change activities to ensure successful project outcomes and adoption of future-state ways of working.
The role will also contribute to business case development, change impact assessments, process standardisation, work instruction and role-base procedures documentation and the successful adoption of new ways of working.
Facilitate workshops, interviews, and observation activities to understand operational needs
Translate business needs into clear, structured requirements, user stories, and functional specifications
Maintain requirements traceability across the full delivery lifecycle
Ensure alignment between business needs and delivered solutions
Support the development of business cases and documentation as required
Analyse current-state processes to identify opportunities to simplify, strengthen, and standardise
Develop clear future-state process maps to support efficient and consistent ways of working
Support the execution and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
Promote process standardisation and improved workflows across teams
Contribute to a culture of ongoing improvement and operational excellence
Analyse data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
Contribute to data modelling activities and support data-informed decision-making
Work closely with delivery teams to support solution design and functional outcomes
Ensure solutions are practical, usable, and aligned to operational needs
Support validation that solutions meet requirements and deliver intended outcomes
Support project planning activities, including timelines, dependencies, and deliverables
Contribute to project coordination to ensure smooth and effective delivery
Participate in testing, UAT, and validation activities
Support implementation and transition activities across teams
Work closely with stakeholders and delivery teams to maintain clear communication and alignment
Strong understanding of business analysis frameworks, techniques, and methodologies, including BABOK.
Knowledge of project delivery methodologies and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to challenge assumptions and identify improvement opportunities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capability.
Ability to produce high-quality documentation including requirements, user stories, process maps, work instructions, and role-based procedures.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and related collaboration tools.
Experience working alongside Change Management resources on business impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, and transition activities.
Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Information Technology, Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education, training, and practical experience.
Demonstrated experience leading business requirements elicitation and documentation, and process redesign for Procure-to-Pay, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Finance transformation or Finance ERP projects.
Experience within Aged Care or Health organisations.
