Job description

We are Australasia’s largest privately owned aggregator group, backing more than 6,000 brokers and advisers across Australia and New Zealand. Partnering with over 110 banks and lenders, we support independent businesses alongside our own Loan Market brand. In FY26, our brokers helped over 400,000 people settle over $167 billion in loans and reached a collective loan book of $428 billion, proof of what happens when scale meets real drive.

We live our values in everything we do. Compassion for our customers, doing what we say, being curious and thinking openly, going further together. We’re ambitious, but we keep our feet on the ground, always hungry, always humble, and focused on being the absolute best at what we do. We were proud to be named Australian Financial Review BOSS Best Place to Work - Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services & in 2025!

About the role:

The Business Analyst will play a critical role in identifying and analysing the relevant business processes and documenting future state processes ensuring they align with business goals and industry best practice.

This role requires a strong technical aptitude, including the ability to understand technical architectures, data flows, and system integrations.

This role is crucial for delivering LMG’s Commission System replacement. This role is available to candidates based in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

Key responsibilities:

  • Analysis: Analyse existing commission structures, sales data, and financial reports to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
Process Mapping & Uplift:
  • Current and Future state: Document current-state ("as-is") processes and assist with design of optimised, future-state ("to-be") processes that leverage the out-of-the-box capabilities of the new system, minimising customisation and driving operational efficiency.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in the commissions process.
Data Migration & Integration Support:
  • Data Migration: Work with data owners to analyse, cleanse, and map legacy data structures from the 2 decommissioned applications into the new data model.
  • Integration: Define and document integration requirements (eg APIs, data feeds) between the new commission system and existing internal systems.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the vendor’s build and QA teams to ensure they have a crystal-clear understanding of the requirements.
  • Validate configuration: Review vendor configuration design documents to ensure they align with business expectations.
Testing & Business Readiness (UAT):
  • UAT strategy and execution: Define the UAT strategy, write comprehensive test scenarios/scripts, and coordinate internal business users during UAT execution.
  • Defect Management: Help triage defects during testing, acting as the conduit between internal testers and the vendor’s QA team.
Project Management and Change Management Support
  • Project Reporting: Support the project manager in creation of project reports, risk and issue management
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on the new system(s)
