Job summary

Emanate Technology in Adelaide is seeking a Business Analyst to join an Agile team on Defence technology projects. You will collaborate with customers, end users, developers, testers and systems engineers to shape and deliver mission-critical software capabilities.

Key responsibilities include eliciting and managing requirements, maintaining traceability, running stakeholder workshops and Jira backlog items, and supporting V&V and T&E activities.

Qualifications

• Experience gathering and analysing business and system requirements.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and documentation proficiency.
• Basic SQL knowledge and understanding of system integrations/APIs.

Responsibilities

Are you a Business Analyst looking to work on innovative Defence technology projects that deliver real-world outcomes?

We're seeking a Business Analyst to join a collaborative Agile team supporting the development and delivery of software capabilities within a growing Defence organisation. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with customers, end users, developers, testers and systems engineers, helping shape and deliver mission-critical solutions.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Eliciting, analysing and managing business and system requirements
• Maintaining requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle
• Facilitating stakeholder workshops and Agile ceremonies
• Writing and managing Jira stories and backlog items
• Supporting Verification & Validation (V&V), Test & Evaluation (T&E) and User Acceptance Testing activities

About You

You'll bring:

• Experience as a Business Analyst within Defence, Government or complex technology environments
• Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams Jira experience and strong documentation skills
• Basic SQL knowledge and an understanding of system integrations/APIs Current
• NV1 Security Clearance (minimum)

Highly regarded:

• Defence Industry experience V&V / T&E exposure
• NV2 Security Clearance
