Job summary

Solutions+ is hiring for a Local Conservation & Biodiversity Management role focused on weed control, habitat restoration and native revegetation across riparian and bushland areas. The role emphasizes safety, compliance with environmental laws, and ongoing record-keeping.

The successful candidate will carry out weed removal, monitor vegetation health, and contribute to community-focused conservation projects within a local setting.

Qualifications

• Current drivers licence and own transport.
• National Police Check.
• White Card (required or willing to obtain).
• Conservation/Land Management qualification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Primary weed removal across riparian and bushland areas.
• Identify and remove invasive and priority weed species.
• Conduct weed control using manual, chemical and mechanical methods.
• Riparian area regeneration and rehabilitation works.
• Native planting and revegetation of degraded areas.
• Encourage and support natural native plant recruitment.
• Safely use hand tools, brush cutters, sprayers, herbicides and machinery.
• Monitor vegetation health, weed growth and regeneration progress.
• Follow environmental legislation, safety procedures and council requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of works completed and herbicide use.
