Job summary

Lake Macquarie City Council seeks experienced bush regenerators and fire mitigation workers for 12-month term contracts across outdoor sites in Boolaroo, NSW. You will perform bush regeneration, revegetation, weed control and APZ works with a safety-minded team in diverse natural areas.

You’ll contribute to environmental restoration, participate in planning and continuous improvement, and enjoy a condensed 35-hour week with additional travel allowances and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in bush regeneration, environmental restoration or land management.
• Sound knowledge of local vegetation communities and weed management.
• Ability to work safely in high-conservation-value areas and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Undertake bush regeneration, revegetation and APZ works across project sites.
• Apply integrated weed control using manual, mechanical and chemical methods.
• Undertake tree planting, vegetation restoration and environmental monitoring.
