Job summary

Transdev John Holland Buses – Randwick NSW is seeking an Automotive Workshop Trade Assistant on day shift to support a team of Mechanics, Panel Beaters, and Spray Painters in maintaining our bus fleet.

You will assist with servicing, minor repairs, parts issuing, and workshop hygiene, with shifts 6am-2.30pm or 11am-7.30pm when required (15% shift allowance). Benefits include monthly RDO, tools and uniforms, free staff bus from Central, onsite parking and an Opal card for travel.

Qualifications

Must have relevant automotive experience shown on resume including the use of hand tools and power tools.
Current NSW HR drivers licence (or have a current NSW C class licence and have the ability to upgrade to an HR licence).
Computer literacy with the ability to record accurate maintenance information.

Responsibilities

Assist Engineering Repair Trades staff with service, maintenance and repair of the bus fleet.
Carry out minor servicing and repairs under supervision.
Support Engineering Repair Trades staff with spare parts issuing and allocation.
Cleaning of the workshop including sweeping floors and emptying bins.
Operate light machinery such as pedestrian forklift, yard scrubber, floor scrubber, bin lifter.
