Job summary

Keyton's Buderim Gardens retirement community on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a friendly and reliable Bus Driver to help residents stay connected to their community, attend appointments, and enjoy social outings while maintaining independence.

The role uses a 22-seat bus with LR Licence, and responsibilities include safe transport, assistance with boarding, coordinating servicing, and delivering warm, professional customer service.

Qualifications

• You’re a people person who enjoys helping others and ensuring passenger safety.
• Current LR Driver Licence is required.
• Previous bus driving experience is preferred.
• Interest in supporting older Australians.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Calm decision-making and a safety-first mindset.
• First Aid & CPR certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Positive, proactive and dependable approach.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to appointments, shopping trips and community outings.
• Assist residents with boarding, mobility aids and personal belongings.
• Deliver a warm, professional and customer-focused experience.
• Coordinate vehicle servicing and scheduled inspections.
• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the bus.
• Support village operations with occasional general duties.
• Champion safety and resident wellbeing at all times.

At Buderim Gardens, every trip is an opportunity to make someone's day. We're looking for a friendly and reliable Bus Driver to help our residents stay connected to their community, attend appointments, enjoy social outings and maintain their independence.

Located across 60 acres of beautiful gardens, lakes, and rainforest surrounds, Buderim Gardens is a vibrant retirement community where residents enjoy an active, social lifestyle. You'll play an important role in helping make that possible.

The Opportunity

Shift Pattern

• Monday: 5:30am - 1:30pm
• Thursday: 7:30am - 3:30pm
• Friday: 7:30am - 3:30pm

Vehicle: 22-seat bus (LR Licence Required)

What You'll Do

• Safely transport residents to appointments, shopping trips and community outings
• Assist residents with boarding, mobility aids and personal belongings as needed

About You

You're a people person who enjoys helping others and takes pride in providing a safe and enjoyable experience for passengers.

You'll bring:

• Current Light Rigid (LR) Driver Licence
• Previous bus driving experience
• A genuine interest in supporting older Australians
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Calm decision-making and a safety-first mindset
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• A positive, proactive and dependable approach
