Job summary

Bolton Clarke is seeking a part-time Bus Driver for the Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island area, based in Victor Harbor. You will support residents by driving the bus to group activities, keeping the vehicle safe and clean, and providing excellent customer service.

The role requires licensing appropriate for the bus size, strong communication, and the ability to assist residents with mobility and outings.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a small bus is preferred.
• Must hold C Class Open Licence or Medium/Heavy Rigid licence for larger buses.
• Familiarity with vehicle maintenance, inspection and reporting issues.
• Solid knowledge of road safety and traffic regulations.
• Strong communication, planning and prioritisation skills.
• Defensive driving techniques and navigation skills.
• Ability to engage with residents and support outings.

Responsibilities

• Drive bus for residents on group activities and outings.
• Maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness of the bus; report maintenance issues.
• Ensure safety and compliance with rules and health standards.
• Assist residents during outings, including mobility support and equipment handling.
• Report conversations with residents and contribute to activity planning and policy.
• Support business planning and area-specific initiatives.

You will drive responsibly, maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the bus, and provide exceptional customer service.
