Help shape the built environment of one of Australia’s fastest-growing cities. Every day, you assess residential building proposals, inspect works on site, investigate stormwater complaints and provide clear advice that helps residents, builders and developers navigate the approval process.

As a Building Surveyor, you assess and certify low-rise development, including development applications, construction certificates, complying development certificates and occupation certificates. You coordinate with applicants, consultants and internal stakeholders through referrals, assessment meetings and approval processes. You also manage certification inspections, prepare professional reports and apply building legislation to achieve safe and compliant development outcomes.

Your work directly influences how neighbourhoods develop and how people live, work and connect. Whether you are assessing a new dwelling, resolving a compliance matter or guiding a resident through Council requirements, your decisions help ensure development is safe, compliant and suited to the surrounding community.
