Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment – Sydney CBD NSW is seeking a Building Services Engineer for a national Tier 2 builder. You will support delivery of building services across refurbishment and fit-out projects in Sydney, reporting to the Services Manager.

The ideal candidate has a degree or trade qualification in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services, 3+ years’ head contractor experience, and a proactive site-based mindset to work with consultants and subcontractors to resolve design and

Qualifications

• Degree or trade qualification in Mechanical / Electrical / Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years’ experience working for a head contractor or major subcontractor on commercial construction projects.
• Strong technical understanding of building services.
• Confident working in a site-based delivery role.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the design development, coordination, installation, testing and commissioning of building services.
• Managing and coordinating multi-discipline services packages (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire, BMS, etc.).
• Working with consultants and subcontractors to resolve design and constructability issues.
• Assisting with value engineering and services optimisation.
• Monitoring short-term programmes and site progress.
• Ensuring compliance with NCC, Australian Standards and relevant authorities.
