Job summary

DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced building maintenance inspector to join a Queensland Government client servicing the Central Queensland region. This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of government-owned buildings and assets, providing critical information to support maintenance planning and asset management decisions.

• Willingness to travel two weeks away and one week in the office.

About the Role

As a building maintenance inspector, you will undertake inspections of government facilities across Cairns region to identify maintenance requirements, asset condition issues, and potential risks. Your assessments will contribute to ensuring government assets remain safe, functional, and well maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed condition assessment reports and supporting documentation
• Update asset management and inspection records accurately
• Provide technical input to support maintenance planning and prioritisation activities

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have experience assessing building conditions and identifying maintenance requirements within built assets.

Mandatory Requirements

• Current unrestricted C Class Driver Licence
• Ability and willingness to travel 2 weeks away 1 week in the office (Go in Pairs)

Highly Desirable

• Relevant trade, technical, building, or construction-related qualification

Travel Requirements

This position Does involve frequent travel across the Cairns northern Australia.
