Job summary

Haste Recruitment supports an established Melbourne building surveying consultancy seeking a Registered Building Inspector to perform mandatory inspections across Melbourne’s northern suburbs.

You will inspect against approved plans, permits and NCC/Victorian regulations, prepare clear reports and advise on rectifications.

Independent single-dwelling inspections, with opportunities on commercial projects; travel throughout the northern suburbs is required.

Qualifications

• Registered Building Inspector – Limited or Unlimited in Victoria.
• Previous mandatory building inspection experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of the NCC and Victorian building regulations.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Current driver’s licence and ability to travel throughout the northern suburbs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mandatory inspections at key stages of construction.
• Inspect work against approved plans, permits and relevant requirements.
• Complete clear and accurate inspection reports.
• Identify non-compliant work and advise builders on rectification.
• Carry out reinspections where required.
• Liaise professionally with builders, owners and internal surveyors.
• Undertake residential, commercial and industrial inspections within your registration scope.
