Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment is seeking a Building Estimator in Sydney. The role suits someone transitioning from carpentry, with a hands-on understanding of residential and commercial construction, and strong estimating and quoting skills.

You will inspect properties, prepare cost estimates, compile insurer reports, coordinate trades, and maintain open communication with clients and stakeholders throughout restoration projects.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified, ideally carpentry or construction experience.
• Hands-on understanding of residential and commercial building methods.
• Strong estimating and quoting skills (or keen to develop them).
• Confident communicator with excellent customer service skills.
• Well organised with the ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are working with an insurance building and repair specialist with over 40 years’ experience in the insurance industry. They are looking for a Building Estimator to join their team.

The role is ideal for someone who's looking to step into estimating from a Carpentry background.

The Role

Salary $90K - $115K + Super + Car (depending on experience)
