SGCH Group is seeking a Building Compliance Specialist to lead our building compliance and essential services programs across the portfolio. You will ensure statutory obligations, essential fire safety measures and critical assets are effectively managed, working with contractors, regulators and internal stakeholders.
This role offers autonomous delivery, a focus on continuous improvement, and travel to SGCH locations as required. It is a permanent, full-time position based at the Redfern office.

About the roleand about you
As the Building Compliance Specialist, you will take ownership of SGCH's building compliance and planned maintenance programs, ensuring statutory obligations, essential fire safety measures, and critical assets are effectively managed across the portfolio. Working closely with contractors, regulators, and internal stakeholders, you'll oversee contract performance, manage compliance risks, conduct audits and inspections, and deliver expert advice that supports safe, compliant, and well-maintained homes for our customers. Operating with a high level of autonomy, you'll play a key role in driving continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across the organisation.
To succeed in this role, you will bring strong experience in building compliance, fire safety and contractor management with the ability to manage risk, engage stakeholders and deliver compliance outcomes.
This is apermanent, full time role based at ourRedfernoffice and requires travel to other SGCH office locationsasrequired. This role reports to the Compliance and Fire Safety Manager.
