Job summary

Liebherr Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Build Supervisor - Field Based in Adelaide, SA. The role focuses on on-site leadership of the Builds and Projects team to deliver safe, compliant field service support for the Mining Division and its customers.

The successful candidate will oversee resources, drive project completion, manage stakeholder relationships, and champion safety and continuous improvement across multiple priorities.

Qualifications

  • Trade qualified in mechanical or related heavy equipment discipline.
  • Proven experience leading frontline teams.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to manage stakeholder expectations.

About the Role

This role will be responsible for the provision of robust and effective on-site leadership and execution of the Builds and Projects department, that enables the team to deliver; safe, efficient and compliant field services support to the Mining Division and its Customers.

The Build Supervisor role is required to lead and direct outcomes set out by the Project Manager/Build Manager, ensuring compliance and conformance to operational goals and company needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective leadership and direction to allocated team members
  • Drive a project's completion through accuracy and compliance to process and deliverables
  • Provide reports and liaise with customers regarding operations
  • Lead and coordinate a team of Build Technicians, driving safe, efficient and high-quality outcomes across field service operations.
  • Build strong customer relationships and be the key point of contact for delivering exceptional service and support.
  • Take ownership of workforce planning, scheduling and operational performance to maximise productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Champion continuous improvement, safety leadership and team development while helping shape the future success of the Build team.

About You

Trade qualified in a mechanical or related heavy equipment discipline, with proven experience leading frontline teams.

Strong customer focus with the ability to build trusted relationships, manage stakeholder expectations and deliver outstanding service outcomes.

Demonstrated capability in planning resources, coordinating workloads and driving operational performance across multiple priorities.

Well-developed commercial, reporting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement, manage risk and lead change effectively.
