Job summary

SA Health is seeking a Reporting & Budget Analyst within the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network to provide financial reporting, budget monitoring and forecasting across SALHN. This full-time fixed-term role runs until August 2027 and reports to the Manager, delivering timely financial insights and strategic advice.

The role requires tertiary qualifications in accounting/economics, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills to navigate change and complex stakeholder environments.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting, economics or related financial/business field or studying towards this.
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate teams in change
  • Independent yet collaborative with priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience leading senior financial management and improving accountability
  • Experience managing large budgets and forecasting within strategic objectives

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement improved financial reporting and budget management across SA Health.
  • Monitor budget processes to meet deadlines and support forecasting.
  • Align budget development with SA Health principles and strategic objectives.
  • Analyze performance and provide variance explanations and corrective guidance.
  • Advise on strategies for efficient use of resources.
  • Ensure timely submission of internal financial management and monthly monitoring reports.
