Job summary

Brewstone Pizzeria and Cafe in Tasmania is seeking an experienced and motivated Chef to join the team on a full-time basis, with a creative menu featuring breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes.

You will lead food preparation, ensure high hygiene standards, manage ingredients and inventory, and train kitchen staff while collaborating with management and front-of-house to deliver consistent meals during busy service, including weekends and holidays. Salary range is 75,000–85,000 AUD per year.

Qualifications

• Cert IV or Diploma required.
• Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques and menu development.
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes.
• Plan and develop menu items including seasonal dishes and specials.
• Monitor quality, taste, portioning and presentation during prep and service.
• Estimate food requirements and assist with food and labour cost control.
• Order supplies and manage stock and rotation.
• Coordinate food preparation to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
