Job summary

Mills Oakley in Brisbane seeks an Associate for its Corporate Advisory team, with 3–5 years’ PQE. The role focuses on M&A, shareholder arrangements, and strategic advisory for tech clients, founders and investors.

Qualifications

• Experience in corporate and commercial practice, ideally 3–5 PQE or equivalent in-house.
• Proven drafting/negotiating shareholder agreements and other corporate documents.
• Strong drafting and transaction management skills.
• Interest or exposure to the technology sector is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Advising on mergers and acquisitions and related governance matters.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating transaction documents and commercial agreements.
• Preparing shareholder agreements and governance documentation.
• Assisting with capital raises, investments and restructures.
• Conducting due diligence and managing transaction workstreams.
• Providing strategic legal advice throughout the transaction lifecycle.
