Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking two fixed-term Bridge Engineers to join the Parramatta team. You will evaluate existing bridges through structural analysis, providing expert technical advice and supporting asset decisions with risk management and safety focus.

In this role you will perform pre-test and post-test analysis for heavy load bridge testing, peer review external bridge assessment reports, and develop engineering solutions to improve durability and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent, Chartership or professional experience, and a current Australian driver licence.
• Experience evaluating bridges, interpreting structural performance and providing evidence-based engineering advice.
• Experience in bridge assessments, load testing analysis and technical peer reviews.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing bridges through structural analysis and expert technical advice.
• Conduct pre-test and post-test analysis for heavy load bridge testing and ensure compliance with standards.
• Peer review external bridge assessment reports to support risk management and asset decisions.
• Assess structures, develop engineering solutions and manage technical risk for informed investments.
