Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group in Horsham, West Sussex, is seeking an experienced Bricklayer for an ongoing on-site project. You will perform general bricklaying and read drawings, working either independently or with a gang.

A valid CSCS card and reliable, punctual work ethic are essential. The contract offers £220 per day, full-time hours, on-site work with emphasis on safety and quality, delivering high-standard brickwork on residential or commercial builds.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Bricklayer on construction sites.
• A valid CSCS card appropriate for the role.
• Ability to demonstrate previous experience and provide references if requested.
• Good knowledge of bricklaying techniques, materials and construction practices.
• Strong work ethic and reliable, punctual approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a gang.
• Own bricklaying tools and full PPE.
• Good understanding of site health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out general bricklaying and blockwork to the required specification.
• Completing facework and other brickwork tasks to a high standard.
• Reading and following construction drawings and site instructions.
• Measuring, setting out and laying bricks and blocks accurately.
• Mixing mortar and preparing materials for bricklaying work.
• Working independently or as part of a team to meet site deadlines.
• Maintaining consistent productivity and quality standards.
• Following site health and safety procedures and working safely around other trades.
• Keeping your work area clean, tidy and free from unnecessary hazards.
• Liaising with site management and other trades to ensure work progresses efficiently.
