Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Completed accredited training in Diagnostic Radiology (FRANZCR or equivalent overseas qualification).
• This position would ideally suit a radiology registrar (completed part 2 exams) or recently qualified radiologist seeking to sub‑specialise in breast imaging.
• Completion of FRANZCR part 2 exams or equivalent is a pre‑requisite to participate in this fellowship.
• Current registration with AHPRA as a medical practitioner or Radiologist.
• Demonstrated interest and experience in breast imaging.
• Experience in breast interventional procedures.
• Familiarity with PACS/RIS and voice recognition reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Interpret diagnostic breast imaging studies including mammography, tomosynthesis, breast MRI and ultrasound.
• Perform interventional procedures such as stereotactic, ultrasound-guided, and MRI-guided breast biopsies.
• Participate in MDTs with breast surgeons, pathologists, and oncologists.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of imaging reports and outcomes.
• Support the breast imaging unit's operational workflow and governance.
