Job summary

The Wesley Hospital Breast Clinic in Brisbane is seeking a Clinical Nurse – Breast Care to join our multidisciplinary team. You will coordinate breast screening and MRI clinics, provide holistic, evidence-based care, and support patients through their diagnostic and treatment journeys.

Ideal applicants have 12 months in breast care nursing, AHPRA registration, and post-graduate certification in breast cancer nursing or progression toward it.

Qualifications

• AHPRA registered RN with current registration.
• Minimum 12 months post-graduate experience in breast care nursing.
• Post graduate certificate in breast cancer nursing or progress toward it.
• Breast screening experience is highly regarded.
• Experience with clinical breast examinations is desirable.
• IV cannulation experience is highly desirable.
• Experience assisting with contrast-based imaging procedures is desirable.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and patient-centred care.
• Australian working rights; sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Breast Screening and MRI clinics.
• Provide safe, evidence-based holistic care and support.
• Collaborate with Breast Physicians, Surgeons, Radiologists and MDT.
• Support and mentor Enrolled Nursing staff; participate in MDT meetings.
• Assist with procedures (Hookwire, SaviScout, VACBI) and imaging pathways.
• Contribute to risk assessments and education for patients.
