Job summary

Tradelink is seeking a Branch Assistant in Australia to ensure customers receive the right products on time with great service. You’ll be out on the road for deliveries, while also supporting in-branch sales and stock control.

The role suits friendly, reliable individuals with a valid driver’s license and a willingness to learn counter sales and order processing. A forklift licence is beneficial but not required.

Qualifications

• Industry experience in plumbing or wholesale/trade sales.
• Consultative sales skills to provide tailored recommendations.
• Team-player attitude with adaptability.
• Strong communication with tradespeople.
• A valid driver’s license is essential (forklift licence advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Complete local same-day deliveries and returns, including loading/unloading goods.
• Provide friendly branch and site service to customers and suppliers.
• Coordinate deliveries with customers, suppliers and the dispatch team.
• Receive stock and assist with stock control and inventory management.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and maintain logbooks for safe transport.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and branch environment.
• Learn counter sales and order processing as you develop within the role.
• Support the team across general branch operations as required.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Industry Experience: Plumbing industry experience or knowledge of plumbing products or wholesale/trade sales experience would be highly beneficial.
• Consultative Sales Skills: You should be comfortable engaging with customers and providing tailored recommendations.
• Team Player Attitude: We value hard-working, adaptable team members who contribute to a positive work culture.
• Strong Communication: You’ll be working closely with experienced tradespeople who expect efficient, knowledgeable service.
• A valid driver’s licence is essential, while a forklift licence would be advantageous but is not required.
