Job summary

Lindsay Australia Ltd in Brisbane is seeking a Box Maker / Forklift Driver to join our Rural team on a full-time basis. No prior experience is required, as training and on-the-job learning will be provided to help you develop a career in our warehouse.

You will perform safe operation of the box machine, carry out pre-checks and maintenance, check carton quality, stack and store properly, and assist with unloading/loading trucks if licensed.

Qualifications

• Pass a Commercial Drivers Health Assessment including drug and alcohol test.
• Current and valid Forklift ticket.
• Mechanical mindset; box machine experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong work ethic, reliability and communication skills.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Box Machine safely to produce cartons.
• Perform pre-checks, configure, maintain and clean the machine.
• Quality check cartons and stack/store correctly.
• Unload/load trucks with forklift (if licensed and experienced).
• Maintain general housekeeping of yard and warehouse.

We are seekingaBox Maker / Forklift Driver to join our Lindsay Rural team inBrisbane on a Full-time basis.

This role would suit a mechanically minded person as you will also be maintaining the box machine. No prior experience is required - this is an opportunity to learn and start a career, keep our warehouse moving along.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Safe and appropriate operation of the Box Machine to produce cartons.

• Pre-checks, manual configuration, ongoing maintenance & cleaning of the machine.

• Quality checking of cartons and stack & store in appropriate manner.

• Unloading/loading trucks with the forklift -if valid licence & experience held

• General housekeeping of yard and warehouse

About you:

• Current and valid Forklift ticket

• Prior experience in a similar environment, use of Box Machine highly regarded but not essential

• Mechanical background advantageous

• Good attention to detail with a strong customer service focus.

• Good work ethic, reliability and good communication skills

• Able to take direction, work under pressure and to ever changing timelines

• Have a commitment to workplace health and safety.

To be successful for this role applicants must:

• Pass a Commercial Drivers Health Assessment including drug and alcohol test

• Be flexible and able to work over weekends as required

• Able to work in and around chemical, fertilizer, nutrient and packaging
