Job summary

Richard Lloyd Recruitment is partnering with a dynamic logistics client in Sydney for a staff-level accounting role. The position covers AP, AR, and payroll for about 15 staff, with responsibilities spanning BAS, IAS, reconciliations and month-end tasks.

The role offers hybrid work and is located near Bondi Junction station. The successful candidate will have at least five years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience, excel in a fast-paced environment, and work effectively either

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on bookkeeping or company accounting experience.
• Experience with AP, AR and payroll.
• Experience preparing BAS and IAS.
• Ability to work autonomously or in a small team.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Full-function Accounts Payable.
• Full-function Accounts Receivable.
• End-to-end payroll processing for 15 staff.
• Preparation of BAS, PAYG and Superannuation.
• Reconciliations and month-end/year-end support including journal posting.
• Intercompany reconciliations.

Company Background

Our client is a fast-paced, dynamic organisation located in the Eastern suburbs. They are within the logistics industry and have been growing at a rapid pace. This role has been newly created due to the company’s growth.

The Role

Reporting to a supportive Managing Director, this role is diverse and includes the following:

• Full-function Accounts Payable
• Full-function Accounts Receivable
• End-to-end payroll processing for 15 staff
• Preparation of BAS, PAYG and Superannuation
• Reconciliations and operational ad-hoc reporting
• Supporting month-end and year-end processes including journal posting and reconciliations
• Intercompany reconciliations
• Ad hoc admin and operational support

Your Background

To be successful in this role, you will be hands-on, adaptable, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment. Below are the requirements:

• Strong end-to-end bookkeeping or company accounting experience (minimum 5 years)
• Have worked autonomously or in a small team environment
• Full-function AP, AR, and payroll experience
• Experience preparing BAS and IAS
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
