Job summary

Express Employment Professionals in Sydney, NSW, is seeking an experienced Boilermaker/Welder to join a busy fabrication team in Penrith. You will weld stainless steel components and handrails for a major stadium project, using TIG, MIG and Stick processes. Read drawings, fabricate to specs, and maintain high quality throughout the project.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Boilermaker/Welder.
• Strong experience with TIG, MIG and Stick welding.
• Experience with stainless steel fabrication.
• Handrails, architectural metalwork or structural fabrication is highly regarded.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong fabrication, fitting and welding skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant trade qualifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG, MIG and Stick welding on stainless steel and metal components.
• Fabricate and weld stainless steel handrails, structural components and architectural metalwork.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications.
• Measure, cut, fit and prepare materials for welding and fabrication.
• Complete fabrication, assembly and finishing work to project specifications.
• Ensure welds and finished products meet required quality standards.
• Use workshop tools and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Work collaboratively with the fabrication team to meet project deadlines.
