Job summary

Synergie Group is seeking an experienced Boilermaker/Welder for a varied role across cranes, lifting and rigging equipment in Australia. You will fabricate, repair and install cranes and related systems, working both in workshop and on-site, with a focus on safety and quality.

You will read engineering drawings, troubleshoot issues, and provide guidance to trainees. Our client offers a stable, safety-focused environment with potential permanency for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• A recognised Boilermaker qualification.
• Minimum 3 years' Boilermaking or equivalent industry experience.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong fabrication, repair and maintenance skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Strong mechanical and structural troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication, repair and maintenance of overhead and gantry cranes and associated components.
• Repair and maintenance of lifting and rigging equipment.
• Fabrication and refurbishment of crane components in accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Installation of new and refurbished cranes, lifting equipment and associated systems.
• Troubleshooting structural and mechanical issues and identifying required repairs.
• Conducting inspections, testing and load testing in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and manufacturer requirements.
• Maintaining accurate inspection, repair and maintenance records.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
