Job summary

Sunshine Sugar's Broadwater Mill in NSW is seeking a Boilermaker to join our permanent team. The successful candidate will fabricate and repair equipment, interpret drawings and work on heavy industrial components within a diverse, safety‑driven environment.

We offer five weeks leave, leave loading, a nine‑day fortnight in off-season, overtime during the crushing season, and a monthly RDO. Pre-employment medical including alcohol and drug screening is required.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications required in fabrication/welding.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Experience with pipe fabrication and pressure vessel repairs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and repair heavy industrial components at Broadwater Mill.
• Interpret drawings and ensure work meets safety and quality standards.
• Perform machine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.

Boilermaker - Sunshine Sugar Broadwater Mill

Sunshine Sugar’s Broadwater site has opportunities available for a Boilermaker to fill a permanent vacancy. The Broadwater site is in the Northern Rivers, only 20 minutes to Ballina.

Please note: Our Fitter & Boilermaker pay rates have changed and are now classified according to experience level, with pay rates between $41 - $46/hour (including allowances).

We are looking for

• Trade qualifications (Certificate IIIFabrication / Welding)
• Heavy Industrial/Shutdown experience
• Ability to fabricate small & large components
• Competent in interpreting drawings
• Experience in pipe fabrication and pressure vessel repairs preferred
• Machine maintenance and troubleshooting experience
• Ability to communicate in a clear and constructive manner both verbally and in writing
• Organisational skills and ability to prioritise
• Commitment and good attitude to safety and culture
• Teamwork and willingness to co-operatively share knowledge and expertise
