Job summary

Aletek, a fast-growing Australian manufacturer, seeks a Boilermaker / Sheet Metal Worker for Bundaberg, QLD. Casual with a genuine path to permanent, you will fabricate from mild and stainless steel, weld to spec, and read engineering drawings on a busy shop floor.

You will join a tight-knit team focused on quality, safety and continuous improvement, with opportunities to develop Lean and CI skills while contributing to diverse exhaust, insulation, and filtration projects.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in boilermaking, fabrication or sheet metal (Cert III).
• Continuous improvement mindset and proactive problem-solving.
• Able to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
• Strong safety awareness and teamwork on the floor.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble components from mild and stainless steel—from drawings to finished product.
• MIG and TIG welding to spec with quality you'd be proud of.
• Sheet metal work: marking, cutting, folding, rolling and forming.
• Reading/interpreting drawings and job packs accurately.
• Check own work against tolerances and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Quality, Production and Engineering to resolve issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean/CI initiatives.
