Job summary

Engineeringtradesaustralia is seeking an experienced Boilermaker for a major power station shutdown based in Lithgow, NSW. This is an immediate start with consistent hours through to December 2026, focusing on shutdown/outage work in a high-output industrial environment.

You will fabricate, install, and repair boiler components, read drawings, and maintain safety and documentation. A trade qualification, White Card, and the ability to travel to Lithgow are essential.

Qualifications

• Boilermaker trade qualification is required.
• Power station or industrial shutdown experience preferred.
• Current White Card (construction induction) is required.
• Must have own transport to Lithgow.
• Must pass pre-employment medical with drug/alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication, installation, and repair of boiler components, pressure parts, and related plant equipment.
• Cutting, welding, and fitting steel plate, pipework, and structural components to specifications.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Carrying out inspections, fault-finding and repairs on boilers and equipment.
• Work safely in a high-pressure shutdown environment and meet deadlines.
• Coordinate with supervisors and trades to complete work on schedule.
• Maintain documentation including JSAs, permits, and quality records.
• Adhere to all site safety procedures and PPE requirements.

• Fabrication, installation, and repair of boiler components, pressure parts, and associated plant equipment
• Cutting, welding, and fitting steel plate, pipework, and structural components to engineering specifications
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions
• Carrying out inspections, fault-finding, and repairs on boiler and associated equipment
• Working safely within a high-pressure shutdown environment, meeting strict deadlines
• Liaising with supervisors, leading hands, and other trades to ensure work is completed to schedule
• Maintaining accurate documentation, including JSAs, permits, and quality records
• Adhering to all site safety procedures and PPE requirements

Requirements:

• Trade qualification as a Boilermaker (Cert III Engineering – Fabrication)
• Previous experience on power station or industrial shutdowns highly regarded
• Current construction induction (White Card)
• Must be able to make your own way to Lithgow (own vehicle required)
• Must be able to complete a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
