Job summary

WorkPac in Mackay, QLD is seeking a Fixed Plant Fitter to join our mining maintenance team. You will perform planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance on CHPP and wash plant equipment across Bowen Basin sites.

The role requires an Australian Recognised Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification, Current Standard 11, Coal Board Medical and a current Driver's Licence. You will work safely, follow site procedures and maintain accurate maintenance records.

Qualifications

• Australian Recognised Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification required.
• Current Standard 11 is essential.
• Current Coal Board Medical is essential.
• Experience in CHPP, wash plant, fixed plant or heavy industrial environments.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills are necessary.
• Current Driver's Licence is required.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance on CHPP and wash plant equipment.
• Maintain conveyors, pumps, screens, crushers, gearboxes, valves and other fixed plant assets.
• Conduct fault finding, diagnostics and equipment repairs.
• Support shutdown and maintenance campaigns.
• Complete inspections and preventative maintenance activities.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

What You Will Be Doing

• Performing planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance on CHPP and wash plant equipment
