Job summary

Advanced Cranes & Rigging in Caboolture, QLD, is seeking an experienced Permanent Full-Time Boilermaker/Fabricator for their workshop. Based at the Caboolture depot, you will work on heavy vehicles, trailers and crane support equipment, with involvement from fabrication to repairs.

You’ll read plans, fabricate solutions, weld and fit components, and maintain high workmanship standards. The role suits practical problem-solvers who work independently or as part of a team in a busy workshop.

Qualifications

• Qualified Boilermaker / Fabricator or strong proven experience.
• Experience with heavy vehicles, trailers or machinery is highly regarded.
• Strong welding and fabrication skills.
• Ability to read drawings from plans.
• Practical problem-solving with a 'make it work' attitude.
• Reliable, safety-focused and mechanically minded.

Responsibilities

• Build, modify and repair heavy vehicles and trailers.
• Fabrication of crane bog mats and support equipment.
• Structural modifications, repairs and custom fabrication.
• Welding, cutting, fitting and workshop fabrication.
• Maintenance, repairs and one-off workshop projects.
• Read plans and develop fabrication solutions.
• Work independently while maintaining high workmanship standards.
