Job summary

NXT Group Australia is seeking experienced Boiler Makers/Welders for remote site-based works in Kalgoorlie. The role involves tank repair works including patch repairs and structural steel repairs. Applicants must hold relevant qualifications and certifications.

We offer an attractive hourly rate and a supportive work environment, along with immediate start opportunities. Successful candidates will work on a FIFO roster of 2/1 or 3/1 and complete a drug and alcohol test.

Qualifications

• Must sit for qualification tests AS1554.1 SP – 4F / 4G FCAW and MMAW.
• Weld test required for Boiler Makers/Welders.
• Must pass a Drug + Alcohol screen.

Responsibilities

• Execute welding tasks on a remote site.
• Perform tank repairs including patch and structural repairs.
• Take part in ongoing large tank repair projects.

Responsibilities

• Boiler Makers/Welders required for remote Goldfields site‑based works.
• Site‑based tank repair works, including:
• Patch repairs
• Tank nozzle repairs and/or replacements
• Structural steel repairs
• Participate in ongoing large tank repair projects across multiple sites.

Project Scope

Long‑term works with FIFO 2/1 or 3/1 roster, 13‑day fortnight, 1 x RDO and 12‑hour days (11.5 paid, 0.5 unpaid lunch).

Qualifications

Welder applicants must be able to sit the following welder qualifications:

• AS1554.1 SP – 4F / 4G FCAW
• AS1554.1 SP – 4F / 4G MMAW
• ASME IX / AS 3992 – 5G / 6G

• Current Working at Heights
• Current Confined Space
• White Card
• Current Driver’s Licence
• HR licence, high risk licence with EWP and Forklift will be well regarded.
• Weld test required for BM/Welders
• Must be able to pass a Drug + Alcohol screen
• Current National Police Clearance
