Job summary

Platinum Marine Management Pty Ltd in Port Hacking seeks a motivated, reliable hands-on person to join our locally owned boat detailing and maintenance team. Working across a range of boats, you’ll be outdoors daily and take pride in quality work.

You'll perform detailed wash downs, machine polishing, teak treatments, and general cleaning, with on-the-job training and opportunities to take on more responsibility as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in marine/boat detailing preferred.
• Must be able to operate polishing and buffing equipment safely.
• Ability to work outdoors and manage deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and take on more responsibilities.
• Current driver's licence required.

Responsibilities

• Detailed wash downs and drying of vessels
• Machine cutting and polishing of gelcoat and painted surfaces
• Hand waxing
• Removing oxidation, mould, dirt and grime
• Applying teak treatments
• Stainless steel polishing
• Cleaning and protecting clears, canvas, vinyl and upholstery
• General boat cleaning and maintenance
• Deckhand and skipper duties when required

We’re looking for a motivated, reliable and hands on person to join our team.

Working across a range of boats, this is a practical role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work and has an eye for detail.

What You'll Be Doing

• Detailed wash downs and drying of vessels

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has marine/boat detailing experience (preferred but not essential)
• Are confident operating polishing and buffing equipment, and power tools
• Has a strong eye for detail, takes pride in producing quality work
• Is reliable and a team player
• Is physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
• Can work independently and as part of a team
• Is practical, motivated and willing to learn
• Is capable of performing efficiently within tight deadlines
• Has a genuine interest in boats and the marine industry
• Holds a current driver's licence
