Job summary

Knox Grammar School in Wahroonga is seeking a Part-time House Manager - Boarding to support the daily care and wellbeing of boarders. The role is term-time heavy with early mornings and afternoon shifts, requiring reliable presence and cheerful service.

You will work with the Head of Stage and the Boarding Executive Officer, conduct daily room inspections, coordinate with parents and staff, and assist with term start/end preparations. Experience in boarding or childcare is welcome.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in boarding or residential environments.
• Ability to relate well to boys, staff and parents with maturity.
• Self-motivation, flexibility, initiative and resourcefulness.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Team player with a proactive attitude; childcare experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head of Stage and Boarding Executive Officer for smooth boarding operations.
• Get boys up in the morning, accompany to breakfast and school by 8:00 am.
• Greet boys on return, supervise activities or arrange sport.
• Conduct daily room inspections and liaise with parents and staff.
• Assist with term start/end preparations and boarding administration.
• Set up for boarding events and manage travel/duty reports.
• Attend Stage Meetings fortnightly and maintain cheerful service.
