Job summary

The Royal Melbourne Hospital is seeking a skilled Laboratory Scientist to join the Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Service within the Clinical Haematology Department, located in Parkville VIC. You will perform lab testing and specimen processing for clinical and research purposes, prioritising workflow to meet clinical requirements and supporting cellular therapy product processing for patient infusions.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in laboratory science.
• Experience in a tertiary hospital, private pathology or research laboratory.
• Excellent teamwork-based skills.
• Experience with Laboratory quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Duties include a wide range of laboratory tasks and support tasks.
• Manual analyses of both clinical and research specimens
• Processing of cellular therapy products for patient infusion
• Quality analyses of BMT processes in line with NATA accreditation
